Reset your weekend + A wild announcement

Happy Weekend!

Tell me I’m not the only one who felt like this week was powered by some intense, post-eclipse jet fuel? The energy was… a lot.

Between some interesting family dynamic drama on the backend (shout out to all the blended families out there – IFYKYK, and bless you 😅), and playing CEO, mom of 3 (including a glorious 13-year-old, pray for me), and wife… let’s just say my self-care took a hit. Sleep was scarce, and my food choices were… questionable.

But when the storm passed, I had a choice: spiral into a social media scroll hole OR actually reset. I chose reset.

My 3-step, highly scientific protocol for getting back on the horse:

1. I put my butt to bed early. Like, 5mg-of-melatonin-and-lights-out early. Non-negotiable.

2. I forced myself to drink my healing smoothie (even when tacos were whispering my name). The recipe is below!

3. I did a ton of box breathing. Seriously, if you haven’t tried this, it’s a game-changer for calming the nervous system. It’s simple: Breathe in for 4, hold for 4, out for 4, hold for 4. Repeat until you feel human again.

The moral of the story? We have to be extra gentle with ourselves when life gets loud. The chaos will pass.

Your Weekend Wellness Inspiration

If you’re feeling the need for a little reset, join me in two simple things this weekend:

  1. Whip up my Favorite Mango Healing Smoothie. It’s the perfect way to flood your body with good stuff. Even if it’s getting chilly where you are, it’s always summer in South Texas, so I’m sipping these year-round!
  2. Try one round of box breathing, just once on Saturday and once on Sunday. See how it feels!

A Wild & Exciting Announcement!

I’ve been craving a better way to connect with you all. Having a big social media following is cool, but it can feel like shouting into a void sometimes. I want a cozy kitchen where we can actually talk.

So, I did something a little wild… I started a FREE community called The Healing Kitchen!

Think of it as our private space where:

✨I can check in daily and answer your questions. *

✨ I’ll go live a few times a month for casual Q&As.

✨ I’ll share free recipes and tips that don’t make it to the main feed.

✨ We can actually support each other!

This is for you if you want a more personal touch and a real community that gets it.

I would be absolutely thrilled to have you there.

Click here to join The Healing Kitchen for FREE!

Here’s to a peaceful, restorative weekend.

Talk soon,

Annette

The AI Generated Thyroid Protocol from Chat GPT

Dear Reader, We can't ignore it any longer. AI is taking over (in good ways) and I want to show you how you can improve your thyroid disease (or any health issue) using Chat GPT. The key to using Chat is the prompt. Be as specific as possible vs. writing a generic prompt like "create me a meal plan for thyroid disease." Here's what I told Chat GPT and read the response along with the "protocol" it provided. I think I may just be putting myself out of business.... HAHA 😆 🔬 Understanding Your...

It’s...
